The MERKUR 510 Progress is based on a model from the 1950s. The polished chrome knob with the MERKUR engraving and the contoured handle tube are characteristic of that era. The shaving head can be adjusted using a scale. From the closest shave to a closer shave, the angle and blade gap can be adjusted.
By turning the knob, you can adjust the blade gap (0.6–1.6 mm) using the adjustment scale—from a coarse setting for long hair to a gentle setting for daily shaving. Tailor it to your personal shaving preference.
